for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......$ ^. o( d2 g% I9 k

5 V7 Y& t7 E$ g, J7 cfor the extended interview:" f5 ~3 a4 m! c

2 q* v; e+ X6 I( Fit's divided into 2 sections,4 t2 F6 |0 V- C$ O
1 is impromptu talk
8 u* e% K$ w+ |, q3 r% Kanother is group discusion9 @% T! C- x+ t6 l" H! X
/ X+ K* ^. r% v& e; c
all conducted in english

% q% I2 H$ |( J" L0 v2 V7 ^2 iimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare! _  j2 m) [- u8 H

topic like "environment, biscuit...."
) _% n% D9 s& S0 x3 P% G" h
" y4 k( D7 c9 I! P$ Rgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion3 {1 W) v4 U& k& p8 x9 h$ g4 n

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes, T, h/ M; p7 O2 g, U; ?7 n3 K% K

. ^: C/ g/ g" h8 j; `7 vthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
