for the preliminary interview:
; ^9 S: h3 U5 }8 Q- P+ R1 U8 z! [. Q0 C/ \7 d
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:8 J5 v+ m# B# L/ x8 C' E# {+ Z

it's divided into 2 sections,
) B! @5 [2 }4 w, e1 is impromptu talk
$ t2 P3 N% [3 S9 |# s3 v9 Wanother is group discusion
! w# `+ }* V% X- L6 K
6 B' g* e, g; z* C8 ]all conducted in english1 j6 i1 @) G' y  s) z

" J5 V0 n8 z- E& K% iimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

) n  I" D# x1 T! e" S- p# c( dtopic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!) E, H& _" d, u! b) c* I
