for the preliminary interview:" p, v# ~. Y% @0 q" v+ L* n" m

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......1 D4 m3 Y& X$ s7 Q

for the extended interview:1 V/ z4 U2 c3 \! g1 f
) ^4 j! D1 d  |# w! `4 k1 h! o3 h1 |
it's divided into 2 sections,: w$ a5 n& M" x; f- _
1 is impromptu talk: ^8 r* ^4 z+ [2 e( ]
another is group discusion
% j) b9 D, a7 s" s, v" ^6 ]: k1 W3 q
all conducted in english. `5 Z; s7 `8 J4 Y# L% \
* F% K/ x0 Z, \
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare6 c2 D( w8 q, _. H  N7 f
2 O2 p( r9 H5 r' g, K
topic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion) ]7 A# n4 ~! N. |8 S1 v: C

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

$ r( Q1 d, B' `4 o# y; k3 N. Lthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
