So you can see the idea that Canada is bigger than China and the US is based solely on the fact that it claims sovereignty over more WATER than land! The USA Is only bigger than China if you include Territorial Seas. (having more coastline means more territorial seas can be claimed)

For example the income tax figure I believe it's the highest bracket.  I live in US and I don't think I will ever make enough to qualify for the 42.4% bracket.  In fact, average tax rate is much lower ( I believe it's somewhere in the mid 20%).  My Canada friend told me that they pay more tax then we do.
