White colour/non air-cond buses are called "platform buses": q& L9 {) c) }3 d
it's because you need to walk a step up when you catch a bus

The first photo is Dennis Trident 12M, with Citybus,one of the low platform bus model

See clearly, that's 2 step if you go inside the bus.
