The ideal Hong Kong can be very simply.

What government, world city are too unreal to me

3 q9 h: G- o( T- z) V' vI have stayed in Australia for many years and my girlfriend is Japanese
; ?) H0 ?/ O5 {& O; \- n- T" }So it's hardly to avoid comparing Hong Kong, Japan and Australia

First of all, Hong Kong is famous for shopping, becuase the selling is extremely low
8 v! {3 G# c' r( y, fHowever, the style and quality are must worse than Japan.
3 F1 N8 q0 c3 z- V$ k: n, L) ZMy ideal Hong Kong is keeping low selling price but improve quality and style of the goods and service. This is very very hard to achieve./ P5 _8 B3 R, Y& G1 q8 }" w
But that is ok, we are just talking ideal. Ideal doesn't have to be achievable" U8 r0 n! i, J3 J0 H* q% w
Secondly, the Salary are very high in Japan. High salary improve stardard of living/ G5 L* T6 F9 ?* K; Z$ {
So, people eat better, wear better, and even go for treavel$ W! @- k, g; {( F* S, ]; v
Thridly, Australia has huge area of land, hardly any to see buildings,# @& ?, V- J: s3 ?7 J; G
People are living a house. A house is hardly any to see in HK.

All other thing between people, I respect this is unique Hong Kong cultue

但是香港始終係我的家,我會對香港不離不棄
