但你在這條問題上，卻忘了有一個因數是個人基本利益，如果我係海盜4或5我都會在你這提議投反對票。

你的提議，太聰明但太狠，比方說在這題目上每個海盜平均是每人有20夥，但你這提議令我損失19夥，我為何不投反對，結果是把你投海餵鯊。當然你可說原本如果抽到4及5的其實等於沒有機會分到。

我自己prefer to 34,33,33,0,0雖。這當然不是答案，但如不分給足夠好處給2，3這兩人。任何一個投反對，以後每次可分到的比例就越多〔第2個人可能要用50,50,0,0 。否則第3人有私心又可否�並D議，令之後分配比例又增加。 〕

要肯定得到支持通過，必須拉攏原本沒得到利益的人，再在其基本利益上加上一點點好處才肯定沒阻礙、最重要是沒風險。

其實這個題目關鍵在於性命重要還是寶石重要，因為只要方案給反對，自己便會死，所以要給贊成自己的人最大利益。

情況一(超過半數才可通過)

如果只剩下二人(4,5)，5就可以得100粒寶石，所以4要支持3的方案。但4會否只為了性命而放棄寶石、3會否冒險要100粒寶石而怕4同歸於盡呢？所以3會為了自己的收益最大化而同4平分，即是二人各得也是最多會得五十粒寶石。另外5不會令到最後只剩下三人，否則他什麼也沒有，就算只剩下四人，3、4也會反對。但是5是不會死的，所以1要給5最大利益，即是五十粒寶石。
基於3、4、5的max寶石分別是50、50、50，所以1要給3或4或5其中二人五十粒寶石、自己沒有寶石，那便有三個人贊成，否則死路一條。

because B thinks if 4 people share, they'll have 25 for each. now he has 1 more. and C thinks 3 people share, they'll have 33-34 each, now he's getting 34. same concept, D wants more than 50, and E wants 100 all. but all we need is 2 more people agree with the 1st one. so just pick 2 people whoever expect the less amount.

5 will refuse to any offer then 4 will die and 5 gets all 100 diamonds

2 can stay alive if at least three people agrees including him.  3 will disagree since if 2 dies he will get all the diamonds.  4 gets no diamond when 2 dies so if 2 give him something 4 will agree.  now for 5, if he disagrees and if 3 did pick 100,0,0 then he gets no diamond also.  for 2, he will say 98,0,1,1.
