I come up the following candidates:

This list is by no means a comprehensive one and you are welcome to suggest any other player that is not on the list.

Personally, I would vote for Nash as he has turned a 29-53 team of last year into a championship contender.  Yes, Shaq has also done something similar but not as dramatic since Heat was 42-40 last year and they did manage to get into the playoffs.

Just my humble opinion ...

I say is Nash or Shaq coz they just turn their teams around. I thk Nash is more "valuable" since phoneix couldn't win a game for the few games that he missed and the western conference is more competitive.
But Shaq may get it since the nba may not want a Canadian win a MVP.

Well, Ducan is injured, James' team is not winning and Garnett's team did worse than last season....

oh, I forgot about AI too, he really matured as a player or even as a person too. ppl doubted that he can't rely on his speed for long, but I guess all great players find a way to adopt and improve.
