Newspaper reports today claim that Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will have just £10million available to spend in the summer on new transfers.
Although that figure is purely speculative, it's worth pointing out that there should be cash coming in from the sales of Djibril Cisse, Fernando Morientes, Jerzy Dudek and several fringe players, providing buyers can be found.
If Liverpool could win the Champions League again, we'd be laughing all the way to the bank.
Although there are concerns about the lack of investment and disputes over the state of the club's finances, the panic button doesn't need to be pressed just yet. But the quicker we find come wonga, the quicker Rafa can mount a serious challenge on the Premiership.
