Liverpool transfer bid accepted


Spanish outfit Sevilla have accepted a bid from Liverpool for Daniel Alves following weeks of negotiations.

We understand that Liverpool have agreed to fork out approximately £10.5million for the player.

Although a fee has been agreed, further negotiations are ongoing as regards how that money will be paid with Sevilla wanting a decent advance payment. The rest would be paid in instalments.

Once they agree the finer details the deal should be pushed through in no time.

Meanwhile further exits are expected at Anfield with Bruno Cheyrou the first to leave. Getting him and others off the wage bill will help Rafa in his attempts to sign Dirk Kuyt.

RAVEN AGREES CARLISLE DEAL

Liverpool reserve defender David Raven has agreed a two-year contract with League One outfit Carlisle United.

Raven, 21, made four first team appearances for the Reds, having come through the ranks of the Academy.

A former England youth international, the Wirral-born right-back spent part of last season on loan at Tranmere Rovers and leaves Anfield with the best wishes of everyone at the club.

Carlisle owner Fred Story says: “We are absolutely determined that we are going to succeed this year and a signing like David shows we mean business."
