for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

it's divided into 2 sections,) w$ N1 H4 f$ G. l
1 is impromptu talk3 e5 Y5 w* T7 x! h; g
another is group discusion. S. r% E* R" e

all conducted in english

, F/ i/ _4 u5 V% C8 Zimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare( k7 H: B. O" G

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion4 K5 y( R- j4 ^3 G z M

* K. B3 Z( {/ ?+ k7 m5 Bthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
