for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......8 C3 x( {) M" l4 N/ J0 B0 B( N

for the extended interview:
7 j4 Z- C% J1 h; a( j, @3 ^+ |$ r( l/ ^5 w& G, V' G3 Q
it's divided into 2 sections,& S0 f- W" [, `- ?7 n
1 is impromptu talk
8 s4 t" d1 q# l0 r; U/ Wanother is group discusion
1 H! E3 X' C3 j: `1 b: P( T' ?0 R2 @/ K) x- E1 K
all conducted in english# b" x2 Q7 \" C. z# _0 }

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare9 }8 j6 B5 @6 D! K6 A
8 F' S, ]3 R: l2 k* }' t- w- ^: _( R; gtopic like "environment, biscuit...."2 f% y$ K. L" {9 Q7 c+ o0 a

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion$ W8 ?/ C; d& L; N$ b: n1 i+ M Q" v. ]

for final interview:

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
