for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......( C! O. l+ j; t d
/ L) J2 j* q8 \$ S1 v I0 h' c" a& [for the extended interview:& d1 B) H* {0 W
- V6 e& I! h: [# ~# G( y* b. l
it's divided into 2 sections,0 \5 a- R7 b$ I/ e- V% _& H
1 is impromptu talk0 @, o g3 f4 \) s) y9 A- ^7 j
another is group discusion* r2 r4 M7 l1 p2 Q
6 r7 P3 P3 b. y$ ]6 R
all conducted in english- L+ a7 S7 S9 m+ l5 `
4 U7 ]9 p, ^5 Q0 E( Q+ eimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."" w6 @0 \( _. l& S
; e; ?, u1 t; _7 q6 e$ ^0 M V- T
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion6 W! W; q4 Q$ _; r5 C1 R

for final interview:
D o& t1 j( v% x C/ e. H3 S( ]$ U1 Z. l
4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes4 L/ Z: }9 u# W) m" p* C: H3 r

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
