for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

it's divided into 2 sections,5 [+ ~, K& k7 N& S; A
1 is impromptu talk" i6 p$ @3 W+ b
another is group discusion o- B2 e' J+ u F( Y7 d5 N

all conducted in english

8 g1 U. U. ]0 I6 `/ e' Nimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare; I6 K* c3 I4 l4 G( N$ ?! G x9 F

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!8 `1 o; Y6 \0 J5 C$ {
