for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......; \2 L. R) ]; U# d

for the extended interview:3 ?9 Z7 U( G! E
e0 z2 R+ i) D9 M: b' `9 V; u/ v
it's divided into 2 sections,
* T1 L% D4 p; V2 W; E$ g1 is impromptu talk
# I6 J, o5 d) i! p; |+ yanother is group discusion# I* p- \ a0 ]9 Y) w) ~
. X* I5 A; Q U* {6 ]# `all conducted in english0 N: ^% A% |( r& P+ G
8 f5 N- L+ h' y" r1 \7 Zimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion8 |.
