for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:# L' }7 b+ {0 Q$ k8 G' N
# @1 l2 O. B4 I `
it's divided into 2 sections,
3 Z' v0 G9 I7 b" [- V1 t$ {. }) J1 is impromptu talk/ n6 ], k8 A& q' S2 H( |8 N
another is group discusion
' s3 S' m+ n3 y( {8 B7 N
# E3 r* P9 @; ?* Q% }all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare3 C6 m$ I; m- e* a5 E# V- U
& Q/ H" ?+ g0 g# X" B$ C2 {topic like "environment, biscuit...."" ^9 H, X: x- b7 @

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion2 w. h9 j6 N% W" D5 N: g+ @

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!3 p S$ `9 C2 Q) k) k# E
