for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......9 q$ [) Z: ^# A

for the extended interview:0 E$ X9 ~: e' J5 X
/ f1 r+ }4 r* r0 c$ K# s
it's divided into 2 sections,/ [- e0 T0 w8 m' `3 A; |- w) p
1 is impromptu talk
6 P" r/ K: {6 D# P# canother is group discusion
0 Y; R% }5 X. Z# b; A# y, Z1 Q1 d& Q& w+ R+ f5 N' b2 [& N
all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."4 u9 G& m5 T) ` T7 m/ ]
4 y! l% j; n. Sgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

& N, @: B* a, p4 o$ a4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!! l" Q7 Y# q! F- f& r2 V$ h
