for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

" S" d# g( t; @ D2 B: yit's divided into 2 sections,2 w. {- S9 M/ e4 D5 v6 O) E) o0 S! k
1 is impromptu talk

all conducted in english

" H u6 p# k9 z3 K/ U: Cimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

E: T% i, {group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion* C8 Z! a- u, _: D) M8 S6 O+ J- t

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
