for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:' I Z+ z6 q3 `; B# N! C7 l$ V2 u

it's divided into 2 sections,
- A$ Q$ \; C! X T* _- l4 i1 is impromptu talk; i' O' k8 i# ^
another is group discusion
- d% }# r2 E1 y) g+ e' [& E, r6 k# n& X0 C' S J
all conducted in english2 v+ V* a0 C+ q( e
) P0 g |# o# Z& h* P
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion% M) ~, |8 y/ _1 p, ~; z

. W/ a5 v6 O8 R/ e* Lthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
