Forgive me of crashing the party....I think both characters in the story are dumb losers...major losers who is not willing to take a good, calculated risk of telling someone "I love you". And the fact that both have wasted so many years by waiting is pathetic. Though the story ends with a bitter sweet ending, I felt awful for both of them.
I guess the lesson here is:
1) Get to know someone well (beyond the first sight factor) and be bold to tell him/her that you love her with wise, crafted words.
2) Be courageous and let the person know your genuine intention of love, but also get ready to have rejections.
3) While wait a bit longer is often a virute (esp. for young people today), don't waste your (and his/her) time by just playing the 'good friend' game.
4) Rejection is hard and it will take a while to get over, but it's not the end of the world.
5) An extra note on how to deal with rejection: keep a good distance after the rejection, you will not get over it if you keep talking/seeing the one who rejected you on a regular basis.
6) Sometimes man and woman can not continue their friendship after a traumatic event like break-up and rejection.
7)世界上最遙遠的距離 is the 12 inches between your heart and your head. |
