for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc...... G4 x: N6 Q" _+ e! U

for the extended interview:
0 S8 j r, U }# R0 b5 B5 D N3 |" m3 h; w
it's divided into 2 sections,
* o+ `+ p/ y! j. S$ ~* G6 H1 is impromptu talk
" D6 Z+ V: f) y& {; M" P0 Ganother is group discusion
1 k% A8 H" J# {2 J5 L- {1 ~5 t9 g; F3 ]) Q7 B! o- P
all conducted in english

3 v2 c& h' U) X' o( P8 mimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare5 i* U- C8 T0 ?. j

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion9 I0 R% u$ p b m
