for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc....... |5 c0 E- P2 s* M+ \, \+ `

it's divided into 2 sections,

all conducted in english

- f$ N6 L# g- h/ J1 ~0 Yimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

$ ?" J1 B7 O( f# `, J3 O9 q2 ~/ V( @topic like "environment, biscuit...."7 @' ~4 b, M3 b
$ c) y6 `5 T/ Fgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion/ \8 x# m( P! ^

1 q& L% D5 p( C3 s1 M8 cthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
