The ideal Hong Kong can be very simply.

Everyone got a different ideal Hong Kong in mind ~: w; z' B0 H) u
I have stayed in Australia for many years and my girlfriend is Japanese
M1 I* O! {# R mSo it's hardly to avoid comparing Hong Kong, Japan and Australia

First of all, Hong Kong is famous for shopping, becuase the selling is extremely low9 p4 M$ e# z) B4 F' g
However, the style and quality are must worse than Japan.
* X: i7 m) S$ y0 v& aMy ideal Hong Kong is keeping low selling price but improve quality and style of the goods and service. This is very very hard to achieve.) q& e( E2 Z: g1 g ^
But that is ok, we are just talking ideal. Ideal doesn't have to be achievable5 h+ G5 h& {& @+ N
Secondly, the Salary are very high in Japan. High salary improve stardard of living+ X: P) ]: V* ]% L: p4 t
So, people eat better, wear better, and even go for treavel
. D5 p( y* m( |- X: ZThridly, Australia has huge area of land, hardly any to see buildings,' P: O& e! o: R! E5 v9 H2 m5 h
People are living a house. A house is hardly any to see in HK. 7 k0 t0 E. d% k" [/ {% ~
My ideal Hong Kong is more land, more house

All other thing between people, I respect this is unique Hong Kong cultue

I see all Chinese as foreigner. I know Hong Kong is a Chinese city* }; f$ W& @4 o" t( s& W7 \0 o
But in my ideal Hong Kong, Hong Kong must be the most population
