I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.. [1 F! J0 S+ e2 H) s
4 x) O" h5 O, N8 P1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.* ^/ ?+ j$ l3 o, j; u
! s% ^$ w: I4 |9 l t" r; xWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.0 w, H3 e0 _5 z; @! e1 ^1 b1 v9 m& {

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
