The first week with braces is the most miserable ... only soft food or fluid is possible since the teeth are too irritable/painful to chew food. You can prepare some congee, steamed fish or minced beef/pork for your wife. In addition, fruits like pear or apple are yet too hard to chew at this time. I guess your wife will probably visit the orthodontist once a month for alignment. It is expected to be painful for a couple days after each visit. Again you can prepare some soft food and remind Mrs. 728 that no rush in eating the food.: t% c* s; g- A5 k2 s
