for the preliminary interview:: L! H% a: e7 g" _& y% I+ N

* g; a; G) m# @6 v' j( ithere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......1 o% B" r( G# I1 e7 c& I& W

9 o5 K  |( L8 x/ e$ b) }( Jit's divided into 2 sections,) {- U: X  Q, B) [: u! e; r
1 is impromptu talk
% t$ `2 U2 Q" k; kanother is group discusion
" J  y5 m) f- J& V6 Q  Z  w7 {9 S# S- ?, e6 A5 e/ X
all conducted in english! k& _# I* a5 V( c( q' F+ U7 k2 @. v
0 g+ \. B6 I' w, R) g5 n
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

/ I9 L' v  A( g  `topic like "environment, biscuit....", o1 ^& p* W! v4 T" ^" _" Y7 A
$ a0 U! P2 f! @- z$ Y
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!* K, j- a- J! H; m5 }3 t2 O
