for the preliminary interview:$ t, T' {) m4 D
5 a( d9 }; `+ I9 Y9 a. U
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:6 z) E8 M/ S6 j% V
" P1 ?( O0 b0 j& W0 M
it's divided into 2 sections,
: p. h& b4 u, h6 B! ~) z" I1 is impromptu talk
" {; d, V9 K' O0 X! T! Ganother is group discusion
6 L: ]) s3 e- `, s6 _& U$ E% m; Y% ]" J3 W6 F
all conducted in english# Y5 n7 B8 f) s8 _6 r9 p

* l; H. S' ]7 p2 g% q+ H8 Eimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

4 I  U3 L* h* Htopic like "environment, biscuit...."9 b5 j1 d$ U' S) t6 o

# q' a+ |+ l1 z7 V: L4 `group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion* u! I& v! w1 V8 M! K& q6 @* c

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes$ ]$ c. A5 a/ B' k
& f" S7 l$ \9 R/ z% d; t
the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
