for the preliminary interview:
0 a7 C) \! o$ V8 ^, v; W3 r. q4 s4 B- z
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......2 [" D% G0 \# \* g$ j- h
( \# \! n, s1 C# w  d1 @' `) T
for the extended interview:

" \* o" k5 A" u) J0 Mit's divided into 2 sections,* e% @! `& [& v9 v, y
1 is impromptu talk
# Y4 f+ m2 G/ u1 w+ Janother is group discusion/ X) [! C9 O0 t" d9 d% w
) c5 V9 |4 a5 [/ e% C, E
all conducted in english! k8 Y; e9 P' q' \9 [/ F3 [) d* c
' D) p& \! t3 F# O2 `2 _# w
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare6 P$ x0 W6 b+ D* _; k- S! u
. `8 f2 `0 m' b" [% I# R
topic like "environment, biscuit...."

" H8 J7 s. Z" ^/ x3 M2 W% @group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

for final interview:

" ]1 k6 C  F6 l8 Y3 j  D+ g4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes# v! m9 o: O& R$ q0 K

2 ~9 W. `/ g& xthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
