for the preliminary interview:7 O2 u# _0 N) G$ Y7 t) O3 B: z

1 x, q/ q, F3 sthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......
! j9 K* L5 r. I4 m9 Q) U' ~: ]9 @: t6 d# m1 X3 y
for the extended interview:
; ~! N0 B2 E: C6 H. q( J6 V- {7 b  U8 G6 U; z
it's divided into 2 sections,
/ J: y) ^* \. H# S1 D1 is impromptu talk8 h, g. D. M) |4 ^' _
another is group discusion+ h# ~- j( @$ b9 A7 K& {/ x

2 `7 S) k7 {2 X$ D7 P+ hall conducted in english
: B; d7 C0 `# L; Q7 n3 S& W, G0 S+ |; h4 w8 |: ^
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare
" ^1 j, d% n( @7 I5 N5 `5 U! {& ^7 ~+ ^. q% l% B
topic like "environment, biscuit...."1 }3 G+ T7 ]$ k3 H( c1 K! c5 M

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

5 N3 |! K9 p$ O; R4 C8 Lthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!8 T# B8 g2 X% w0 Z
