for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......" p4 u( ^/ B( \/ h  V8 f

for the extended interview:8 Y1 K! e: H& o" g) N0 t  f

4 q, P: s0 ]7 b8 d: Q% Sit's divided into 2 sections,
$ }. ]# B; S) Z, o6 v, Y. l1 is impromptu talk
/ x3 X- {1 O- b7 \; M/ G  \another is group discusion
0 b& ^, `8 V% y: z
% P" \& ^  i8 v5 U! s" F5 V8 G$ Lall conducted in english
1 V; w( Q4 g0 R: Q* b: }- E
- i8 K. R; ^  u8 `impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare& j( ]  h3 k7 i% i, P( m
+ _  K8 v& a6 t( D# v" F9 m
topic like "environment, biscuit...."

" Z% F1 P. l$ t1 p4 G+ V1 zgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

. _' N* v/ N1 M$ M+ O$ Q/ jthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!5 @; E* C' [, k& f% m) n5 ^  Z
