for the preliminary interview:4 [, ?, x) v6 Z# s* C, O/ T

( M# L5 r8 @! n/ v3 r, l+ Gthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......& _* L6 o0 |5 B

$ R) y7 l9 x, y9 w: c( c. \  k& qit's divided into 2 sections,6 e4 j8 m7 U! I) A7 p3 x
1 is impromptu talk3 M; g( E5 E& C7 S: A6 p0 h: E) J9 ^- v
another is group discusion% O# H  R  B5 z6 r( l

! e8 a, g+ ]4 L) vall conducted in english8 H* j$ W! l. B( X
1 z. k. b$ w3 u8 q( V  A5 n
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare" C# |% o& k8 y& z8 E0 u4 a

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion1 Q' g9 T0 @2 r8 t9 A

* ~% E8 a/ e. V1 }5 X& c
4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes4 u; I1 f7 w9 Q" V

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
