for the preliminary interview:/ V6 h/ `' M6 z; R  b

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......# W. V1 F$ j8 z1 p7 t; M

* E8 W# V3 q  D0 t2 r! Wfor the extended interview:

it's divided into 2 sections,
. i6 {5 ~* a6 F# q3 v* J1 is impromptu talk% h$ V/ s* f7 ]9 I( q
another is group discusion6 l2 n2 W4 u' ]( t# p
6 B; k' f5 D/ ]  y: t# r
all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare+ {7 `+ L: B( a! _8 r; G: E" r

* b9 u& x- V! ?5 H+ s& N2 O( ~group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion* X' ^/ x; H) F: l" ^" N" J4 ~2 x

for final interview:

1 }* l2 k. m3 |$ c# Y( T, f6 B0 |4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!4 v' g: H* o& E- V) t7 I
