for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......9 b- R! j3 R! r) E

* q3 d! j% ~( J. A- Y5 p; k. y$ _6 v8 O! T2 B
it's divided into 2 sections,6 y: j( b: b% G5 K+ B/ u
1 is impromptu talk
4 q1 E7 X! R) i3 p8 O8 Ganother is group discusion
6 f& M* y5 K! {) m" u9 t5 w" [8 g; R: E; E- p
all conducted in english* [% Y1 }( Z0 U) I/ q1 u, }% v1 j
1 ~/ L6 h4 \, {$ g  Q
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare
1 x% O2 ~: v2 Y( e9 V1 X  ]6 @0 m( p7 z. ~2 N
topic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

for final interview:

3 n; B. m$ Y  u7 kthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
