for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......; n7 a6 V0 ^( x

  m+ t) i  W+ @it's divided into 2 sections,
$ G, \1 u$ D$ ~* W; [1 is impromptu talk
  s  L; \3 z& c# U+ a9 }* U7 Canother is group discusion
9 x( h$ y& t4 L$ A5 C  l: r+ w+ `: y
all conducted in english* c: N# O, _; N  ]3 s4 o+ |
$ r4 T. T6 W, ?) G) B% Z
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare( l3 U! G$ |" N1 c6 t0 V" N' w" ^

6 @" n: K4 a3 j7 S5 s; mgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

' s9 Q' O; N, U1 w# @4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

5 t  M, z( r' }! R+ a0 E8 u/ zthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
