2 CLUB AMERICA GOAL After a patient and skilful move that sees the Mexicans probe from one side of the Chelsea area and back, Mosqueda's shot from 20 yards deflects off Terry's outstretched leg. Cech is wrong-footed and helpless.
74 CHELSEA GOAL Malouda capitalises and prods in after keeper Navarrete makes a hash of his attempt to catch Hutchinson's punt forward.
83 CHELSEA GOAL Terry does very well to stretch back and reach Malouda's free-kick which was curving behind his run. He heads past Navarrete.
COMMENT: There is first Chelsea action for Sidwell, Ben-Haim, Malouda and 18-year-old Academy product Jack Cork. Chelsea were caught early in the game but neither side could exert any prolonged pressure in the opening period. Only Johnson and Terry survived the half-time substitutions. The Blues, with seven training session in four days in their legs have every right to feel a little drained but stretch their opponents second-half and look stronger, despite the Mexicans being more advanced in their preparations. John Terry is the only to make 90 minutes and is rewarded by being voted Man-of-the-Match. All the new players plus the three Academy products can feel positive about their displays. For Chelsea's first ever game in the Bay Area, a stadium that begins half-full with local traffic congestion reported, fills considerably with a healthy Chelsea following at one end and a noisy Mexican one at the other.
