When your brain encodes pictures (yes the alphabet is a picture because you see it), it will encode it with a couple of certain distinctions, Os and Cs have a similar oval shape, it's hard to tell a C from an O because the brain also fills in the blank. As for the 6, it should be the easiest because a 6 and a 9 is the opposite, so when your brain encodes it, it will be like a picture with a tiny top and big bottom. With N and Ms it's hard, because the N is like a half M, so the two look very similar, it will take a considerable effort to differentiate the difference.
