[車迷區] New Peugeot 508 caught testing

Peugeot’s replacement for the 407 and 607 saloons, the 508, has been caught in winter testing under heavy disguise.

ThePeugeot 508 will sit between the two models it replaces in terms ofsize and will share its all-new chassis with the Citroen C5.

Theheavy disguise of the development car gives little away about the 508’sstyling, but Autocar understands it will be more evolutionary in itsdesign than the step from the 406 to 407.

However, it isunderstood that the design will have eye-catching detailing and“hard-edged” looks that will help it to stand out from other mid-sizedsaloons.

The 508 is expected to feature hydropneumatic suspensionand adaptive headlamps. A diesel-hybrid powertrain option is alsolikely to be offered, technology Peugeot is pioneering with itsforthcoming 3008 hybrid.


The 508 concept car is expected to beunveiled at this year’s Paris motor show, before the production versionis launched at the Geneva motor show next year.
