The ideal Hong Kong can be very simply.

What government, world city are too unreal to me0 P& c. G, O: b
Everyone got a different ideal Hong Kong in mind
$ t: W5 [7 j& s! PI have stayed in Australia for many years and my girlfriend is Japanese( S, n1 K( m5 N, N. w" N
So it's hardly to avoid comparing Hong Kong, Japan and Australia
+ V) B( g, K' ^5 @0 ?/ x( A5 F5 W7 s3 o
First of all, Hong Kong is famous for shopping, becuase the selling is extremely low: O$ V Q% }9 R! X
However, the style and quality are must worse than Japan.
, W% b5 R T6 UMy ideal Hong Kong is keeping low selling price but improve quality and style of the goods and service. This is very very hard to achieve.
9 a4 d! W8 Y$ h E* u' ]But that is ok, we are just talking ideal. Ideal doesn't have to be achievable
* Q! E4 o6 I! ISecondly, the Salary are very high in Japan. High salary improve stardard of living6 i& P2 n; J5 o7 E: P2 @' g" }
So, people eat better, wear better, and even go for treavel3 H& O& ~. ]- {( U9 }, {
Thridly, Australia has huge area of land, hardly any to see buildings,+ [5 ]: r& ~! I. Z! o; C1 l* N) w1 f
People are living a house. A house is hardly any to see in HK.

Lastly, I don't wanna see too many Chinese in Hong Kong
