I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.8 S, d$ }8 ?1 R( C& ~
. W" h2 M+ Z7 L D6 g- U1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.: a/ }' J% {4 j- O0 R
- O$ A; u7 ?6 i& R* dWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.; K0 |1 ~ \+ F! T/ m9 h$ G
Y) Z* \% B2 c* EThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
