How about at the hospital?

1 x( V9 T- j8 fI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.

3 V9 f& s& E& ?4 ]1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it. v; x( X* ?9 j$ w% t# @+ ?- m
8 B+ O9 S! `1 T% b8 f. {, y4 h( aWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.$ Q* l) E4 ]5 U( v0 F) G
, G s" u+ d D# D& v. H; c7 Y. ^
The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
