How about at the hospital?

. D' c4 G5 e( `) HI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.
* z+ W' i7 E( _
1 O8 E$ @9 j+ p$ z' J! U9 ]* l" v1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.
" n) O$ K( T3 r4 Z3 k c; g* X* W+ Q! g( Q/ ^$ ^
When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up., p( d) G; L4 I3 k _- A# {
! d5 O- U; M+ R& x# q& U z
The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
