I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.3 [" x) k: q6 s- U h) X+ c

1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.- C3 D, b H: W' g' {

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.! u+ _' F# J/ K# h3 G6 K1 A
+ `4 c+ X2 x% S; u& W- S) x6 UThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
