里昂收購捷克前鋒巴路士的最新價錢為七百五十萬英鎊
Lyon have reportedly tabled an €11 million (£7.5 million) bid for Liverpool striker Milan Baros but Aston Villa remain in pole position to land the Czech Republic international.
The French champions' bid is understood to be the biggest on the table but sources in France claim Baros would rather go to Villa and the Midlanders are ready to increase their offer in an attempt to broker a deal with Liverpool.
Gerard Houllier has not given up hope of landing the player he brought to Anfield during his spell on Merseyside.
Current Reds boss Rafa Benitez was typically tight-lipped about the situation but suggested David O'Leary had upped his bid.
"I know the two questions you ask are Baros and [Michael] Owen," he stated. "We continue training with Milan and are hearing people talking about Michael.
"We have a lot of strikers and are happy with them.
"Not directly [have I heard from Villa]. Rick Parry is talking with someone maybe.
"They have done a better offer but we know he's a good player and it must be a very good offer for us."
As for Liverpool's own spending, Benitez is in no rush to do any deals.
"We need a centre back and a right winger," he affirmed. "We have some contacts but the window closes in two weeks."
