:.... note:  it takes 2 hours of driving from my house to york...

i used to study at seneca@york, i move on to Ryerson now....

around 2 hours drive ~><~....

if you have someone to drive you to GO station at Kennedy and 407 or up to Town Centre Blvd... it may be faster....

usually a friend of mine goes to GO station at Kennedy and 407 for GO Bus to York University....; b# A2 m9 Q4 S- H* i% j
York Region has a new Bus route from Town Centre Blvd ( Warden and Hwy7) and goes  to York University as the last stop... i don't know the fare of that, because i used to drive myself to York University.....
, c( t% t, S, r" |" u8 @  s: q" _( v$ F1 D/ P
try to look for these method, it may be faster by a bit.... but i am a bit outdated, you better research it....2 \% U6 M3 W* Z# h! l

it shouldn't take you 2 hours to get to York....* C& e' L/ ?; r) V5 c% ?, m1 n* w' X7 @
I use the same way as you to get to York too
