（吉達）西甲豪門巴塞羅那的喀麥隆當家射腳伊度奧，同意以租借身份加盟沙地阿拉伯勁旅阿爾伊迪哈德，以助他們實現亞冠三連霸美夢。

伊度奧在記者會上說：「我不是為錢而來的。穿上阿爾伊迪哈德征戰亞冠聯賽的喜悅，是金錢所不能比擬的。」

阿爾伊迪哈德沒有公佈伊度奧的合約細節。

阿爾伊迪哈德通過此宗轉會，同時宣佈會在喀麥隆成立一間名為「伊迪哈德和伊度奧」的足球學校。

阿爾伊迪哈德俱樂部主席阿爾巴拉維說：「從這間足校出來的都是好球員，我們將會從中受益。」

JEDDAH: Barcelona’s Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o has joined AFC Champions League champions Al Ittihad in a loan move.

Speaking at a press conference to announce his signing, Eto’o said: “I don’t play for the money alone. Happiness is my priority that's why I chose to play with Ittihad in the AFC Champions League."

Details of his contract have not been revealed.

Al Ittihad has also signed a contract with the player to open an ‘Ittihad and Eto'o Soccer Academy’ in Cameroon. “The Saudi club will benefit from the players that graduate from the academy,” said Al Ittihad President Mansoor Al-Balawi.

Barca Striker Eto’o to Play for Ittihad

JEDDAH, 12 April 2006 — What friendship can do. For Al-Ittihad president Mansour Al-Balawi it can get a player in the caliber of Barcelona’s Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o to play for Ittihad. Al-Balawi and the flamboyant Eto’o are friends, and ever since the friendship started three years ago the club owner had been wooing the world-renowned footballer to play with Ittihad.

At a press conference yesterday to announce the deal to end all deals, Cameroon national striker said, “I don’t play for the money alone.

Happiness is my priority that’s why I chose to play with Ittihad in the filter-074 championship.” Eto’o currently plays in the Primera Liga with Barcelona and his move to Ittihad will be on loan basis under a deal that is yet to be finalized.

Ittihad are two-time defending champions in the AFC Champions league where they have been seeded to play in the quarterfinals, and with Eto’o in the fold chances of a three-peat look bright. Hundreds of fans attended the press conference and chanted the player’s name and Barcelona. The fans along with the press were shocked when the Ittihad president broke the news. Eto’o toured the club and kicked balls during the junior team’s practice session.

The Spanish league top scorer this was his first time to visit Saudi Arabia and that he is fascinated with the country and the Saudis’ love for soccer. He said that he would be rooting for Ittihad in today’s derby match against Al-Ahli.

He also thanked all the Ittihad fans for their support and looks forward to playing with the team in the AFC Cup.

Ittihad has also signed a contract with the player yesterday to open the “Ittihad and Eto’o Soccer Academy” in Cameroon. The Saudi club will benefit from the players that graduate from the academy, said Al-Balawi.

Al-Balawi said that a number of local papers doubted the club’s ability to bring the Barcelona striker and branded it a bunch of lies.

“We hold our word again as you all can see, “ he said. The president of Barcelona is scheduled to arrive in Jeddah on April 27, said Al-Balawi.

Upon his arrival, we will put the finishing touches concerning the player’s contract and filter-004 other matters between the two teams, he added. Eto’o arrived at 4 .am. yesterday with Barcelona’s vice president and executive president and left 10 p.m. on the same day.

1. 巴塞羅那官方網從未登載過任何伊度奧前往沙特的新聞。
2. 阿伊哈特俱樂部官方網至今無法成功登陸，無可查證。
3. 經過仔細搜索，西班牙四家最著名的體育專業報紙：《馬卡》《阿斯》《世界體育》《每日體育》在此消息所聲稱的伊度奧抵達當地的時間“本週二”，也就是4月11日至今（我們甚至搜索了4月10日），均沒有任何跟本消息有任何關聯的新聞。
4. 目前登載此新聞的境外媒體包括：亞足協官方網，阿拉伯新聞報網站（綜合性報紙，非體育專業報紙）
5. 亞足聯官方網是完全轉載的阿拉伯新聞報網站的新聞，也就是說本消息的獨家來源來自阿拉伯新聞報
