I can download files using flashget and the speed is pretty fast (above 100 k/s)
but when I try to download files using BitComet, it keeps saying that it is connecting for a long time
I have attached my computer screen so that it is easier to understand
Do I need to change the setting or anything?
can someone help me out?
it's not supposed to download as fast as flashget with BT
flashget only uses http to download stuffs directly...
BT is sharing files...which means you download files from other people's computers (peers or seeds)....
if your torrent has no seeds or very few peers....you will have to wait until those peers or seeds appear online...作者: kp3004 時間: 2006-9-15 09:29 PM
is it because i am using networking?
if i use the computer with the router, it won't give me any problems
but when i use the computer with the adapter to download the same files, i can't even connect to a seed or peer
does it mean i have to change the setting of bitcomet?作者: ceilingmonster 時間: 2006-9-21 01:09 AM
it is seemed to be blocked by your network (software firewall, router or isp)
please open the port that you assigned to bt (open both tcp and udp protocols) by amending the firewall rules in your router.
in addition, check the software firewall (in window xp sp2 if you are using) rules as well.
if you are using pccw (netvigator) as isp, don't assign bt port between 6800 ~ 6889, pccw blocks the range of port avoid the bt tcp and udp passthru'
