for the preliminary interview:+ }8 W L6 ^1 a5 _; o* q! X

U$ q+ F: U) Y' ^there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......$ V+ [$ X& o' p* ~1 M3 D 3 C+ u) o \0 ?* C2 l
for the extended interview:* I6 O7 M; J6 [1 P
1 ?# T! }. C9 @& Y9 y. g
it's divided into 2 sections,+ o' P. B" H- P- \$ D/ N6 s' I1 Y
1 is impromptu talk4 m2 @! W3 q m' m# i( H+ u; `1 o
another is group discusion6 l/ z5 O8 S Q3 w: O# t
( _0 d# B& k, N
all conducted in english 8 w+ g) Y0 D( d f1 r2 g& J9 ?' ^3 M6 z+ d& u) o& p# K" p' ~1 ~
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare 7 a6 M4 ]% t( Y) j . V2 i+ J5 d2 g! {. L5 vtopic like "environment, biscuit...." * z, Q7 X- K: u( k# V L# Q. I; g5 N+ X" W
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion $ i2 i7 p/ O, z) Z, ]5 H% F, W1 Z/ M! z$ d9 L4 ]9 G# [ 4 a# v' g% i* o
for final interview: " O5 H5 w @% U6 s & t: I1 N" P& R% z3 V4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes ( L$ L$ O0 u8 `3 d5 J/ f+ [! O- g" d" o! ^- [; q
the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier! & C4 p; G& _4 M. E" i; G( `- O# D. i1 b% q
