for the preliminary interview: + Q; Q0 z$ E0 i5 @! `1 U( m, i3 @ ]- [% D- H$ p0 z% C
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc...... 3 c+ J, k( x) M! d - p( s+ N; Z f; |! i' gfor the extended interview: ) \5 s) H2 M# J* i a+ ] S9 s7 M4 w7 V( M5 F
it's divided into 2 sections,# |4 O: M9 l4 H0 j
1 is impromptu talk * w5 \: Z8 \/ P1 `another is group discusion & H1 _( J5 H( m. _. `7 c% ~1 K+ P9 ^+ k
all conducted in english 4 w: [, t, s% T- M* y: w! h4 c' v' l* V" z# N4 _5 p) \
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare " O6 N5 f5 T9 @8 m( b$ ?$ v$ r# Y$ w) L7 r; K3 c! f( Q+ ?# a& q
topic like "environment, biscuit...." % J- i2 V/ D1 m* t1 k0 R ! f9 q( _' f9 T4 L. egroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion( } g3 P2 S. o4 {- ~ I

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes 0 F& o* w( c8 }# o( l' Q5 c 7 E& {# v3 B! ?( _' V: K5 ^8 _the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier! " C/ h7 K" j, Z2 |% e: ~$ b! O( g# r+ q
