麥卡倫徵召現時仍然有傷嘅奧雲, 以便歐國盃外圍賽作客對俄羅斯及主場對愛沙尼亞時 "救國". 另外, 韋斯咸前鋒被重召, 而大腿仍然有傷嘅車仔中場林柏特及最近已復出既曼聯前鋒朗尼亦在名單之中. 至於門將方面, 上周聯賽不約而同地失咗四球嘅保羅羅賓遜, 占士同埋卡臣全部入選. 以下有英俄大軍名單:

Injured Owen called up by England

Michael Owen has been included in England's squad for their Euro 2008 qualifiers against Estonia and Russia, despite doubts over his fitness.

Newcastle striker Owen, 27, is still recovering from groin surgery but hopes to be able to face Everton on Sunday.

But coach Steve McClaren has named him in a squad which also includes West Ham's fit-again striker Dean Ashton.

England face Estonia at Wembley on 13 October and Russia in Moscow four days later in two key qualifying clashes.

Chelsea's Frank Lampard is also included, despite missing recent games with a thigh injury.

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney is back in the squad after recovering from a broken foot, and he is expected to replace Wigan's Emile Heskey, who has suffered a similar injury.

McClaren said: "It's incredible Michael is fit. It looked an impossibility two or three weeks ago, but he has had the op, worked one-on-one with his physio and joins up again with Newcastle on Friday.

"Hopefully he will be fit to play for Newcastle on Sunday against Everton and then play in our two games.

"He says he is flying, feeling very very good. If Michael Owen is fit, Michael Owen will play."

McClaren has spoken to Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce and he has given the England striker the green light for the double header, where six points would see England virtually into next summer's finals.

Everton's in-form defender Joleon Lescott retains his place in the squad after being called up as replacement for Sol Campbell for the games against Israel and Russia - but the Portsmouth veteran is also included.

Russia coach Guus Hiddink has named his squad to face England, but Spartak Moscow Vladimir Bystrov is ruled out because of cruciate ligament damage.

佢表現開始越來越好, 入選都合理, 因為英格蘭既其他前鋒各有問題, 如高治無正選踢, AJ 果 D 就鬧入球荒, 奧雲又傷多過踢呀咁, 整體入球率低得可憐 ......  

另外, 點解唔再俾韋斯咸門將格連一個機會呢???

艾殊頓真係好黑仔, 呢次入選國家隊之後又傷喇, 傷左膝部韌帶, 對愛沙尼亞同俄羅斯唔使預佢喇 ........

Ashton to miss England qualifiers

West Ham striker Dean Ashton has been ruled out of England's Euro 2008 qualifiers with Estonia and Russia.

Ashton, 23, will miss the ties on Saturday and 17 October after picking up a medial knee ligament injury in the Hammers' weekend defeat by Aston Villa.

He said after the game: "It is almost as if there is something against me."

Andrew Johnson will also miss out because of an ankle injury but Michael Owen confirmed his fitness, scoring in Newcastle's win against Everton.

Everton boss David Moyes confirmed that Johnson would be missing for a significant period of time. He said: "We have nursed AJ along but now he will have surgery on Monday and will be out for four weeks."

England head coach Steve McClaren brought Ashton into his squad at the start of last season but the former Norwich striker subsequently broke his ankle in training for his national side in August 2006.

His impressive form since returning to action during the current campaign earned him a recall in place of the injured Emile Heskey for this month's games against Estonia at Wembley and away to Russia.

McClaren was at St James' Park on Sunday to watch Owen but he will be concerned about losing two more strikers.

He did receive one boost, with Frank Lampard playing a full 90 minutes in Chelsea's win at Bolton after recovering from a thigh injury, and declaring himself ready to return to the England fold.

McClaren has already revealed that he may be prepared to rest skipper John Terry against Estonia.

The Chelsea defender was booked against Israel and another yellow card would put him out of the clash with Russia.

"Leaving Terry out would be a massive call," conceded McClaren.

"We must look at the bigger picture. We have a few players on bookings and we have to take that into account."

He will be desperate to lead England out against struggling Estonia but, together with Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole, he is one caution away from a suspension.

"It is a consideration," confirmed McClaren. "I have to ask myself do I want to risk losing someone?

"It means picking a team for Estonia is not an entirely straightforward issue, there are other factors involved as well.

"Clearly though, our priority is to win and avoid dropping points at home as we did against Macedonia. If we do that, what happens in Russia is irrelevant."
