Tottenham captain Ledley King is confident he will fully overcome the knee problems that have limited him to six appearances and one day of glory at Wembley this season.
The 27-year-old underwent surgery in the summer and had to wait until Christmas to return, and even then he was not playing regularly as his knee would inflame after matches.
After six games in a month, King limited his training and did not play as he prepared for the Carling Cup final, which resulted in Spurs defeating Chelsea and ending their nine-year trophy drought.
The centre-back's thoughts have already turned to next season, when he hopes the club can build on the success head coach Juande Ramos has inspired - and the skipper is hopeful of being able to play at full tilt.
"At the moment it's been a tricky situation, but hopefully I will get it right, even if it's not this season it will be next season," he said. "I am not worried about it one bit, I'm confident.
"I have a lot of football to come and will stay with the team. I'm confident there are more trophies to come. As a team, we're going places."
