英格蘭將於 3 月 26 日晌巴黎同法國進行友賽, 教練卡比路既 30 人初選名單亦已經公佈, 最令人觸目既係有碧咸既出現, 睇黎有機會取得第 100 頂喼帽, 而阿仙奴既禾確特, 米堡中堅韋達, 樸茅前鋒迪科爾同維拉前鋒艾邦拉賀亦被徵召.

至於曼城後衛米卡李察士, 維拉後衛居迪斯戴維斯因傷落選, 熱刺門將保羅羅賓遜, 韋斯咸門將格連, 熱刺後衛京治, 雷丁後衛梳利, 曼聯中場卡域克同韋根前鋒希斯基亦告落選, 最後 23 人名單會於周六晚上公佈. 初選名單如下：

Beckham recalled to England squad

David Beckham has been recalled to the England squad for the friendly with France in Paris on 26 March.

The LA Galaxy midfielder, 32, who has 99 caps, is in a provisional 30-man squad named by coach Fabio Capello.

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, 19, has been called up for the first time since the 2006 World Cup finals.

Middlesbrough defender David Wheater, Portsmouth's Jermain Defoe and Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor are also included.

But Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick and his club-mate, goalkeeper Ben Foster, miss out along with Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon, who has also been left out of the Under-21 squad.

Capello has picked Portsmouth veteran David James, Villa's Scott Carson and Wigan's Chris Kirkland as his three keepers, meaning there is also no place for Tottenham's Paul Robinson or West Ham's Rob Green.

Beckham was omitted from Capello's first squad, for February's 2-1 friendly win over Switzerland, along with Chelsea duo John Terry and Frank Lampard, who both return after injury.

But the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star was watched by Capello's assistant Franco Baldini in a friendly for LA Galaxy in Dallas at the weekend and obviously did enough to convince the Italians over his fitness.

Capello explained: "I always said that when David was fit he could be in the squad.

"I have had good reports on him from Franco, who watched him on Saturday night, and also from his club. I know a lot about David Beckham and what he can offer the team."

Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas has no doubts about Beckham's sharpness and told BBC 5 Live: "David has played in all our pre-season games. He is healthy, excited and motivated.

"Every player wants to be called up on merit. As significant as it is to get your 100th cap, this is a situation where Fabio Capello is calling in a great player to help him with the task in hand.

"I can assure everybody that he is injury free and ready to go.

"We hope he stays that way not just for the game midweek for England but through our season which begins the following weekend.

"Hopefully he will get his 100th cap against France then come back to the US and continue with LA Galaxy as we start our season."

Agbonlahor was selected by the Italian for the Switzerland game but was forced to withdraw because of injury.

Walcott's inclusion comes two years after his first and last appearance for England under Sven-Goran Eriksson, when he became the youngest England international.

The Gunners forward told his club's website: "I celebrated my 19th birthday on Sunday so the call-up is a great birthday present for me.

"I am looking forward to meeting up with all of the lads after the weekend's game."

Walcott and Wheater were called up after filter-004ions with England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce.

Capello explained: "Theo and David are two good young players who have done very well for the Under-21s this season and when I have seen them play for their clubs.

"Stuart Pearce has given me excellent recommendations on both players.

"Next week Stuart has a friendly match so it is a good opportunity for us to consider some of the younger players for the senior squad."

Those named in Capello's first 30-man squad in January who miss out this time are Micah Richards and Curtis Davies, both injured, as well as Ledley King, Nicky Shorey, Emile Heskey and Carrick.

There is a keen interest in who Capello will choose as his captain against France.

Liverpool midfielder Steve Gerrard wore the skipper's armband against Switzerland but previous incumbent under Steve McClaren, Terry, was ruled out of that match because of injury.

The squad will be reduced to a final group of 23 players on Saturday night, even though 13 of the players will play on Sunday when Manchester United host Liverpool and Chelsea take on Arsenal.

落選左, 前者就係教頭擺明唔鍾意用佢, 就好似以前踢過巴塞既古利咁; 後者晌曼聯唔係傷, 就係長居後備, 無計. 仲有拜仁慕尼黑右閘沙洛都無份添 ......

另外, 韋斯咸中堅厄遜因傷落選, 於周六聯賽缺陣既熱刺中場贊拿斯與維拉前鋒艾邦拉賀, 翼鋒艾殊利楊格, 車仔翼鋒胡禮菲臘斯, 米堡中堅韋達同樸茅前鋒迪科爾於最後 23 人名單中落選.

Robinson returns to England squad

England coach Fabio Capello has recalled Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson to the squad for Wednesday's friendly in France.

Capello has reduced his squad from 30 to 23 and brought in Robinson to replace the injured Scott Carson.

Matthew Upson is also injured, while Gabriel Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Shaun Wright-Phillips, David Wheater and Jermain Defoe are cut from the squad.

David Beckham retains his place and could win his 100th cap in Paris.

Robinson lost his England spot in the final Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia last year.

Jenas scored the opening goal of Capello's reign in the friendly win over Switzerland last month, but he missed Tottenham's Premier League win over Portsmouth on Saturday.

Capello risks his squad for Wednesday being hit by injuries to key players when Liverpool play Manchester United and Arsenal play Chelsea on Sunday.

The Italian has voiced his concern over the timing of the Premier League fixtures.

"This is a friendly - having said that I'm not ecstatic, not happy about it," said Capello.

"Some of the players I will not be able to train as I would like to."

李奧費迪南會成為友賽法國既隊長. 另外, 由於韋根門將卻克蘭受傷, 其位置會由韋斯咸門將格連代替.

法國方面, 賓施馬, 亨利同韋拉因傷退隊, 教頭杜明尼治終於肯補選祖雲達斯前鋒查斯古特, 而朗斯前鋒拿美亦被補選入伍.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has been named England captain for Wednesday's friendly with France in Paris.

Chelsea defender John Terry, captain under Steve McClaren, had been expected to skipper the side on Wednesday.

Steve Gerrard led England for manager Fabio Capello's first game in charge against Switzerland last month.

There was also speculation that David Beckham could captain the side if, as expected, he wins his 100th cap.

Although Capello has named Ferdinand, 29, to lead the side against France there is no suggestion that the Manchester United star will captain England throughout their forthcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.

"Fabio Capello has confirmed that Rio Ferdinand will captain England against France in Paris," said an FA statement.

"Capello has confirmed this continues his policy of rotating the captaincy between players in the friendly matches before confirming a permanent captain for the World Cup qualifying games."

At the weekend previous skipper John Terry, 27, had said that despite being England captain under McClaren, he didn't expect to be given the nod by Capello.

Terry's role had been under the microscope following the incidents at White Hart Lane last week where the Chelsea captain came under criticism for his behaviour towards referee Mike Riley.

"I certainly don't expect to be captain but I 'm very hopeful I am," Terry told BBC Sport.

"I wish to continue to as England captain but I respect Mr Capello's decision."

Ferdinand was first capped for his country in 1997 against Cameroon and has represented England 65 times.

The game is also expected to be a landmark for Beckham who is set to win his 100th cap for his country.

Capello has a fully fit squad to choose from with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard taking a full part in training despite picking up knocks during Sunday's games.

France coach Raymond Domenech has called on a squad of 39 players to cover the England match, as well as an 'A' team fixture against Mali on Tuesday.

He will be without former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, who withdrew after Barcelona's 4-1 defeat of Real Valladolid on Sunday.

Patrick Vieira has also pulled out, with a sore thigh muscle while, Juventus striker David Trezeguet has been called into the squad.
