the problem is, even if the player just cost 10000, when your return is less than 10000, who's gonna pay for it? (in view of an investment)
for eg, if real madrid bought c.ron for 70m, their return should be greater than that amount.
football is just a piece of business nowadays, footballers are assets, there are also managers, board of directors and owners, some might even go public into stock market. It's not just the game matters the direction of the club, it's "profit".
Just ask yourself, which player should a HK football club to purchase and they can get the money back in a few years? and is that possible to do so?作者: arthur8088 時間: 2008-7-9 10:46 PM
it's diffferent..HKG was British Colony in the past...it would be easier for British billionaires to invite those retiring stars to play in hkg....LIke they could even invite George Best to play in HKg~~even he was 36 already...and Dusburry from Man utd~~
and agreed with soccer is closely related to business now...if there's no profit or gimmick, the board would defintely reject of spending so much to sign a star now...especially in hkg~~coz watching soccer is not the only entertainment now~~作者: eric911 時間: 2008-7-9 11:40 PM
