I would stock up things as gifts during the year. My wife and I would look for bargains during the sale period and stock up. For example, I once got quite a few Jazz CDs from HMV for people's b-day and Xmas gifts. That saves the hassle and pressure to look for the perfect gift when we have an hour to do so. I get the wedding couple's name in English and made a poem out of the acronyms of their names. All I need to do is get some good fonts/graphics, print it out and frame it.
