曼聯領隊費格遜親自撰寫了一封公開信，予亞洲各媒體，工作人員及球迷。原稿如下：

7 August 2005


Dear Sports Fans,

I would personally like to thank each and every one of you who welcomed us so warmly to Hong Kong, Beijing and Tokyo recently for our 2005 Asia Tour.

Our fans behaved impeccably, while being enthusiastic and vocal in their support for the team. It was great to witness.

I’m sure the season to come will be as competitive as ever and we are determined to challenge for all honours in all competitions.

Our games in Asia were vital building blocks in our pre-season training and the level of competition provided will stand us in good stead for the season ahead.

But it is the happy, smiling faces of our fans that will remain in our memories for a long time to come.

On behalf of all the Players, Training Staff and Management of Manchester United “Thank you”

我就覺得果個人有鬼咁好心機咩，睇佢係用一d software，可以成篇英譯中既，click個掣就ok...果d全自動既翻譯軟件…點識分fan幾時解風扇幾時解支持者咩…
