First of all, I am a MILAN fans
but in an unbias pt of view, i believe both teams have the quality to win the series

In terms of goalkeeper........ well Dida is way better than Carrol

In terms of defense, even AC is mainly composed of old folks, and ultra slow (except of Cafu),  for those who have watched the first derby this season, AC vs Inter, not even Adriano can penetrate the defence from the middle, but had to cut in from flanks.  Both Nesta, Maldini and Stam are world class defences, i think they have some tricks to stop MU's pacy forward.  

MU has good defense, particularly after Heinze joined the team, but somehow I believe Rio is the only world class defense, neither silvestre nor brown are that "good" or consistent performers.  But on the other hand, they may be good enough for AC forwards since AC only have 2 forwards, Crespo and ---asson

In terms of midfield.......well MU has a midfield that can dribble deep, both Giggs and Ronaldo, that can really trouble AC defence.  Plus they have Keane who basically tackle anything that moves, also Scholes' powerful shots.  Milan midfield has a better passing ability, long ball (Pirlo), built up, and through ball.  But since Milan favors slow and possessive build up type of soccer, MU has a better chance of either counter or thru flanks

FOrward..........before SHeva got injured..... it is 50/50...now with Rooney on fire, and others return to lineup..........honestly MU has a much better chance, in terms of combinations and choices.  Milan can only use Serghino as a 3rd striker.......how desperate.......

But anywaz i hope the series can be entertaining, good displays in offense and defence
