£43m expansion will create new levels of hospitality

Visitors to Old Trafford's new hospitality facilities will experience new levels of service and access from the 2006/07 season.

Innovations such as valet parking, concierge services and year-round access to pitch view 16-seater boxes are planned for the £43 million redevelopment of the stadium. The work will see stadium capacity increase by 8,000 to over 76,000, making it the largest club ground in the UK.

Ten additional suites are to be integrated in the design, almost doubling the existing hospitality space and increasing the catering capacity by over 2,000 per match. As well as matchday services developing, conferencing and event facilities.

Director of Venue, Karl Evans, said:

“Old Trafford is an iconic venue and one that competes with any in the country for hospitality facilities. These new suites and boxes will be the best in football and give companies the chance to use their matchday rooms all year round.

“We have put a lot of thought into how we can improve our corporate customers’ experience at the ground and we are sure that touches like valet parking and concierge services will be attractive.”

Work began in May 2005 and is scheduled to be completed by August 2006.

　　老羅布森曾是雲尼斯特羅在燕豪芬的恩師，是他一手調教出了荷蘭殺手，比賽後，雲尼斯特羅透露賽前他就曾和老帥見過面，並許諾他一定要進球。“賽前就在我們的酒店，我見到了博比-羅布森爵士，”雲尼斯特羅說，“我對他許諾一定要進球。能夠見到他感覺真好，他告訴我整整一年之前，他被紐卡素解雇了，因此我要把這個進球獻給他。”

　　雲尼斯特羅的進球是獻給老羅布森的，同時也給了紐卡歷史最差開局，喜鵲在英超歷史上還從來沒有過頭4輪1球不進的情況發生，現在主教練索內斯身上的壓力已經到了頂點。

　　不過現在雲尼斯特羅最關心的還是曼聯的狀態，開局不錯給了他信心。“我們已經踢了五場比賽，非常有信心，我們一個球也沒有丟，”雲尼斯特羅說，“我們的表現非常堅實，從中場到後防線再到范德薩，表現都很緊湊。”

　　“我們希望延續這樣的表現，這個賽季我們將有所作為。

Ole Injured Again

Goalscoring legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been hit with a new setback in his bid to return to fitness, according to reports from Norway - and his doctor admits he might never full recover.

The United hero - who scored the winner against Bayern Munich in the 1999 European Cup final - has been struggling to rebuild his career after suffering a knee injury two years ago.

There had been hopes that he might return this season, but now Norwegian paper VG reports that the 32-year-old has been hit with a further blow in his rehabilitation efforts, and his doctor is refusing to set a date for his return.

Swedish knee specialist Lars Petersson told the paper: "He has picked up a tear inside his knee. It is a very recent injury."

Solskjaer, who joined the club nine years ago, bagged 115 goals for United before succumbing to the injury and, apart from a cameo in the FA Cup Final win against Millwall, has not featured for the first team since.

Petersson, who operated on the player last year, told the paper: "I thought he might be back in October but it is impossible to set a date now."

Asked whether he is 100% sure Solskjaer will come back at all as a top level player, Petersson added: "No. I am never 100% sure in these cases."
