Hearts have confirmed that Manchester United have expressed an interest in their starlet Daniel Galbraith.
The young Hearts midfielder, aged just 15, is one of the Scotland's brightest prospects and a number of clubs have been alerted to his progress.
Galbraith is being tipped to be one of the stars of the forthcoming Victory Shield tournament - which you can see live on Sky Sports - and a host of scouts are sure to take an interest.
Reports north of the border had suggested that United had already lodged a bid of £50,000 - but this has been denied by Hearts' academy director John Murray.
"No bid has been accepted for Daniel Galbraith," Murray told skysports.com.
"Manchester United have been in contact and have asked to be kept informed of developments.
"They have been looking at him for a year now, but there is no offer from them.
"I do know there are other clubs, from England, who are interested - but they have unfortunately chosen to go behind my back and have approached the player's family direct.
"Manchester United have had the courtesy and decency to contact me - as they did when they signed David Gray.
"But that is modern football, we would not be foolish to just say no to any club - but Daniel is signed with us until next year, although he is obviously not yet on professional terms." |
