HAMSTRING HEARTBREAK FOR GIGGS



Manchester United's Ryan Giggs faces three weeks out after pulling a hamstring in the 3-2 win over Celtic.

The Welsh winger, who has been in sensational form for club and country this season, limped out of the Champions League showdown at Old Trafford after barely half an hour shortly after earning a controversial penalty.

There seemed minimal contact with Celtic keeper Artur Boruc but Giggs was unable to return and afterwards United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed a hamstring pull.

He forecast Giggs will miss Sunday's Premiership clash with Arsenal and will probably be sidelined until October.

Ji-sung Park ruled out for three months


Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung has been ruled out of action for three months with ankle ligament damage.

Sir Alex Ferguson revealed on Tuesday that the 25-year-old South Korea international was going for a scan after picking up an injury in training but expressed the hope that Park could be fit for tonight's encounter with the Scottish champions.

However, United officials confirmed Park will require an operation that could keep him out for three months, effectively ruling him out of all United's European group games plus 12 Premiership games.

Coming less than a fortnight after the transfer window closed, Park's absence could cause a major disruption to an already stretched United midfield, which Ferguson revealed today he had tried to strengthen by making a bid for Villarreal's Marcos Senna on deadline day

I still remember in mid 90's, most ppl said a world class striker was required in order to win European Glory...Ironically, when Man U won the Tribute, the strikers were not world class....In last 20 years, we all proud of our wolrd class midfielders...Cantona, Giggs, Kancheskis my favourite, Beckham, Keane, Robson, McClair, Ince, Scholes,.....
Most likely that's Man U or you can say Sir Alex Style...
