Bayern 'can afford' Ruud

Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have the financial might to make a bid for Holland striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

In an interview with Munchen TV, Bayern managing director Karl Hopfner said that the transfer of the Manchester United star to the German champions was "very much within our financial limits".

According to German press reports, United would be willing to sell van Nistelrooy for around €12 million, after his falling out of favour towards the end of the season.

Speculation is rife in the German media that the Bundesliga champions could be about to make the 29-year-old a firm offer after club executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge praised van Nistelrooy in the highest terms last week.

Rummenigge was also present at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion in Stuttgart to watch the striker play, and score, for Holland against Ivory Coast on Friday.

The former PSV Eindhoven striker has insisted he expects to return to Old Trafford after the World Cup finals, unless he is told anything different by his employers

Bayern P*ss off....get away from Ruud~~~

Meulensteen Joins Danish Giants

Reserves boss Rene Meulensteen is the new first-team manager of Danish club Brondby.
The former Academy skills coach leaves Old Trafford after five years, but less than nine months after replacing former second string boss Ricky Sbragia.

The Dutchman will officially take over from former Brondby boss Michael Laudrup on July 1.

Although only briefly in charge of United's Reserves, Meulensteen enjoyed an incredibly successful spell as his side sealed a remarkable Treble in 2005/06.

Under his charge United became the first side to retain the FA Barclays Premier Reserve League North, and also won the Manchester Senior Cup and Reserve League Shield.

Although disappointed to see the Dutchman leave the club, United wish Rene all the best in his new role.

good luck....then who's going to be reserve team manager??
Tony Coton?? Please keep talented manager~~~~
dont rely on Carlos Queiroz...

Albion reject second Kuszczak bid

West Brom manager Bryan Robson has revealed the club have turned down a second bid from Manchester United for Poland goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

Robson has disclosed that Albion want cash plus two un-named United players - one on loan and one on a permanent basis - before they will sell agree to sell Kuszczak.

United have so far only offered cash for Kuszczak and former Old Trafford skipper Robson said: "We have knocked back the second bid they have made. United know the position. They have made us an offer but it is not what we want."

He added: "So that is still not a deal at this moment in time. It all depends on United now.

"What we are after is the cash, which United have offered us, and two players to come this way as well. One would be permanent and one would be on loan but I won't say who they are."

Robson was also unwilling to reveal how much money United have offered.

Looks like Robson really likes Richardson~~~haha...
Luckily West Brom rejected this offer...please keep money to invest into Forward and midfield~~Fergie~~
Ruud set to complete Madrid move

Ruud van Nistelrooy is expected to complete his move to Real Madrid after ManYoo dramatically reduced their original £16m valuation of the striker.

After protracted negotiations on Monday between ManYoo chief executive David Gill and Pedrag Mijatovic, his Madrid counterpart, the two clubs are believed to have agreed on a fee of around £11m.

Van Nistelrooy, who scored 150 goals during his five years in the Premiership, has already finalised the terms of a three-year deal and will be presented to the Madrid fans later this week after passing a medical.

ManYoo’s cave-in over RVN's fee is a measure of their desire to sign Fernando Torres. The Dutchman's sale will be used to finance a move for the Atletico Madrid, with Sir Alex Ferguson aware that the longer Van Nistelrooy's departure was drawn out, the less likely Torres would move in the opposite direction.

Torres' agent has already said that his client may choose to stay in Madrid, and Ferguson will have to work quickly to convinve him that a move to Manchester is the way forward.

Ferguson also remains insistent that Ronaldo, with whom Van Nistelrooy fell out last season, will remain at the club.

"He will be our player next year, you can bet your life on that," Ferguson said. "He's got a five-year contract. That's how I'm sure he will stay. He's back on July 31."

The Scot is convinced that the Portugal winger will thrive on the inevitable abuse from rival fans after his World Cup antics.

"There have been players over the years that have had abuse - David Beckham after the World Cup in 1998, Eric Cantona. But they can only boo so long. If you're playing well and you’re winning, it soon quietens them. There's no problem with him. He's got a great temperament."

Thx Ruud for your service for 5 years...

Look forward to see which forward will join Man U~~
