this is actually a test on how you brain encodes information, basic psychology. When your brain encodes pictures (yes the alphabet is a picture because you see it), it will encode it with a couple of certain distinctions, Os and Cs have a similar oval shape, it's hard to tell a C from an O because the brain also fills in the blank. As for the 6, it should be the easiest because a 6 and a 9 is the opposite, so when your brain encodes it, it will be like a picture with a tiny top and big bottom. With N and Ms it's hard, because the N is like a half M, so the two look very similar, it will take a considerable effort to differentiate the difference. And this is why it can say you are not close to Alzheimer's, it's because your brain is able to 1) differentiate between similar objects 2) because of 1, it means your brain is not deteriorating faster than normal |
