好似有D機-Walcott
From Koptalk:
Liverpool target Theo Walcott is reportedly undergoing a medical with a Premiership club.
The 16-year-old Southampton starlet was absent from training at Southampton today as he prepares to move on to his next employers.
Arsenal are favourites to land the player who's hoping for a dream transfer to Anfield. Although Liverpool have been sniffing around him, the Reds are not prepared to splash out a ridiculous amount of cash on the teenager.
Speaking exclusively to KOPTALK.COM this morning - and prior to any developments today - a Liverpool FC insider said: "Rick (Parry) has been speaking with Warwick Horton (the player's agent) this week.
"The club are willing to make another offer but they won't be dragged into a bidding war with other clubs.
"Both Rick and Rafa believe if Theo wants his dreams to come true that he will sit tight and reject the advances of Arsenal no matter how advanced the situation is.
"The Walcott family feel under pressure because of verbal agreements with Southampton which were made a long time ago but if the boy has dreams, people should let him live them."
It is claimed that Southampton are looking for a down payment of £5million with a further £7million to be paid to them depending on appearances and achievements.
Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is understood to be close to the Walcott family and he could hold the key to wrecking Arsenal's hopes.
Arsenal believe that they will land the player because of the vibes coming from Southampton's top brass. Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein believes Liverpool - not Chelsea - are the only threat, but the Gunners remain confident that they can push the transfer deal through.
Any delays are a good sign for Liverpool but the clock's ticking. |
