The Manchester United future of winger Ryan Giggs remains uncertain.
The Daily Star says Giggs did an 11th-hour U-turn on signing a new deal after he was set to settle his season-long stand-off with United last Wednesday.

But Giggs, 31, pulled back. And that has left his future at Old Trafford still uncertain.

Agent Harry Swales has repeatedly insisted Giggs doesn't want to leave. Giggs presumably remains unhappy at the terms.

His contract expires in 2006 and he was disappointed to be offered only a one-year extension earlier this season.

Sources say there is now interest from former team-mate Steve Bruce at Birmingham.

老實講,我覺得踢唔踢到好波係真係迫出來的
佢呢一年來,踢得好果段時間係開始傾合約的時期
且而家續約要減人工,我估都幾難搞呀

I infact think that ferdinand is arguably the best central defender in the world and brings quite a stability to the team. But if he wants a 6 figure weekly wage, not to mention 150000, then it is obvious that he should be put on sale. with Ferdinand out, Man Utd will be able to save 7.5 M a year, so that every 2 years they acquire a world class defender. Also the fact that we have some of the very best young defenders in the world in Brown and Pique, brought from Barcelona. i think Ferdinand is not very enthusiastic about his Man U carrer and prefers a new challenge abroad. he is infact more concerned about his money. ferdinand can and has only been playing well because of Silvestre and the latter even scores with his head. Furthermore, in terms of quality, i don't think Man U will suffer with the likes of Heinze, Brown, Pique and O'Shea fighting for a place alongside Silvestre, with Fortune, Spector and P.Neville fighting for [full] back.
