FRANKFURT, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Coach Juergen Klinsmann again omitted Christian Woerns on Thursday when he named his squad for Germany's friendly against France on Nov. 12.

Centre back Woerns complained angrily about being left out for the recent games against Turkey and China. Klinsmann met the Borussia Dortmund player to smooth over the row but it has not led to his recall for the match in Paris.


Klinsmann brought back captain Michael Ballack and striker Miroslav Klose for the 2006 World Cup hosts after the pair missed the last two matches because of flu.

As previously announced, Jens Lehmann of Arsenal will play in goal, with Oliver Kahn taking a rest.

Klinsmann recently confirmed that Kahn is his first choice going into the World Cup but the coach is resisting calls to abandon his rotation policy.

Dortmund midfielder Sebastian Kehl was also left disappointed, although the coach said his time would come.

Kehl, who won the last of his 24 caps in June last year, was recently called up for fitness tests with the squad to check on their condition ahead of next year's World Cup.

[3.11.] Dortmund will have to make do without the services of Christoph Metzelder for this Saturday´s away game at 11th placed Leverkusen (kick off 15.30 CET). The German international defender who missed last Saturday´s thrilling 2-1 win over Gladbach as a result of back pain (lumbago), could not take part in training today and was being worked on by the medical staff instead.


"I´m very disappointed that Christoph cannot play", stated BVB coach Bert van Marwijk today. Markus Brzenska will play in Metzelder´s place alongside Christian Wörns as he did last Saturday.





Midfielder Tomas Rosicky, who had to be substituted last Saturday with a slight groin injury, wanted to break off practice early today, but decided to continue, "I had to continue", stated Rosicky, while van Marwijk warned that "it isn´t certain that he will play."

David Odonkor, who missed some of this week´s practice session due to light knee pains, is fully fit and available.
