Solitude is part of life....we long for company....but secretly we crave for that rare moment of quiteness on our own.0 M" c4 T* Q5 d% I
0 U% W( j4 w# r) l8 c- [; VPeople feel 'empty' or 'depressed' after a great outing because:8 R r; j; U$ J3 L
a) they know this 'feeling' of contentment can not last long; B1 w' q' ~% E& m- z: ?8 H4 {' M
b) they hate to be alone, so they loiter with people...but it's in large group they 'discover' they want to be alone.
& G1 `8 p. b' k9 jc) the contrast is too great between togetherness and lonliess.

Just another thought on lonliness:
) K' p1 }6 X$ w4 h5 x* sLonliness is not the feeling at your first day of school/work/new life in another country. It's normal to be alone in those circumstances. Loliness is the realization that you're indeed alone after spending years w/ your friends, co-workers, peers, and family members. That's sad. |
