Rafa Benitez feels Liverpool need to start flinging in more crosses, if they are to see the best of Fernando Morientes.
The Spanish striker has struggled for goals since joining from Real Madrid in January and has mustered just three in 18 appearances.
He has yet to score this season, having started the home UEFA Champions League qualifiers against Total Network Solutions and FBK Kaunas, while also coming off the bench in Lithuania.
Morientes' form is not giving Reds boss Benitez sleepless nights, although he accepts the 29-year-old has not made a major impact at Anfield.
Benitez believes the key to Morientes scoring on a regular basis is for his Liverpool players to operate more efficiently down the flanks to give the forward a more consistent supply of crosses.
"We know he can play better, he knows he can play better and he wants to play better," said Benitez.
"Fernando will improve, I am sure. We have all the ingredients to see the best of him this season.
